Jozel Care Academy - Training Programmes

Being a Caregiver requires unique skills and passion for caring. Caregivers are carefully nurtured on the needed skill-sets to make them prepared and equipped for the task. Therefore, we require that every applicant goes through training. We recommend applicants to acquire specialized training from our training center, Jozel Care Academy. We offer training to enable everyone with the passion to embrace the caring career without well equipped. We offer the following Programmes:

CAREGIVER CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME

This programme is for anyone who wishes to become a Caregiver. This training programme equips you with needed skills to care for newborn, persons with disabilities, bedridden persons, elderly persons and others who require concentrated personal care.

Duration: 4 weeks

Training Fee: To be communicated

Requirements: Passion for caring, physically fit and able to speak, read, write and understand English. Basic entrance test applies.

Schedules: Full time intensive study comprising of theoretical and practical classes. Monday - Friday, 10:00am - 4:00pm. Usually we carryout three (3) training sessions every year (March, August, November). You can choose any one of the three sessions that best suits you. Pre-registration is required at least 2 weeks before the respective session begins.

Field Study/internship: Training includes 2–3 days of onsite care activities at selected hospital, physiotherapy centre and/or home for special persons like the physically/mentally challenged, orphanage or elderly people's home.

In-person physical training location: Jozel Care Academy, 28 Charity Road, 2nd floor, T&B Plaza, New Oko Oba, by Abule-Egba bus stop, Lagos.

EXEMPTION FOR NURSES AND ALREADY TRAINED CAREGIVERS

If you are a Nurse or an already trained Caregiver you DON'T need to go through the training programme above. If you are interested in becoming one of our Caregivers, Private Nurse or Home Health Aide contact us to schedule an interview and orientation.

ABOUT THE JOB

After successfully undergoing any of the training sessions listed above, you will be issued your certificate which gives you the privilege to work as a skilled Caregiver at JOZEL CARE or any other care agency as well as chhild care centre.
